What if FOX decided to produce LOST?

27 Jan

I was perusing my friend’s site over here at Egomania Strike, and came across this amazing video of LOST. They take scenes and put them in chronological order, just as the show 24 does. It really is dramatic watching it and is definitely getting me pumped for the final season premiere next Tuesday. If you don’t watch Lost, there are spoilers in here, so be careful!

The guy who did this is also working on producing more. So stay tuned!

And if you are looking for two guys talking Lost (and HUGE spoilers) – then go watch Gabe and Max’s 100 Seconds. Def “LOLs”

Monday Music Madness:”Who Wants to Be Alone” – Tiësto feat. Nelly Furtado & “Freedom” – Clipse

25 Jan

So Tiësto and his crazy “e” is back with a sweet beat and a “collabo” with a known artist. It’s definitely not one of his best songs, but it’s decent and danceable to. If this song was a library book, I would file “Who Wants to Be Alone” under the Club Bangers section

More after the jump!

Thirsty Thursdays: Irish Winter & Adult Hot Chocolate

21 Jan

So it looks like winter isn’t leaving anytime soon. So we decided to give you guys some drinks that are best enjoyed during the winter time!

Irish Winter

1 part Kahlúa Coffee Cream
1 part Jameson Irish Whiskey
Freshly brewed coffee
Whipped cream for garnish

Directions:

  1. Combine ingredients in a mug or Irish coffee glass.
  2. Stir to combine.
  3. Top with whipped cream.
Tips
This drink is essentially a subtle transformation of Irish Coffee. Adding the Kahlúa brings a unique creaminess to the base of the drink.

Adult Hot Chocolate

2 oz peppermint schnapps
Hot Chocolate
Whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles for garnish (optional)

Directions:

  1. Pour the schnapps into a mug or Irish coffee glass.
  2. Fill with hot chocolate.
  3. Stir well
  4. Optionally, top with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles or shaved chocolate.
Tips
One garnish I find almost essential for this drink around the holidays are those mini candy canes. Just hang one on the side of the glass and allow it to melt in the warmth for an even more minty touch.
If you want to learn how to make a drink, ask for it on the comments below and we’ll get that recipe up for you guys. Until next time, cheers!

NFL 2009: Division Championship Round Playoff Predictions

21 Jan

Well, that's one way to fumble...

Four more quarters until the Superbowl. It must be really hard to concentrate for the players on any one of these teams. Hopefully, they won’t mess up though because to be honest these playoff games haven’t been all that exciting. In fact, if anything the games have been disappointing. But here’s hoping for the best. Last week, Greg went 3 and 1. Genesis went 2 and 2 and Andrew….wow… Andrew went 1 and 3. Everyone was surprised by the San Diego game, but there’s no excuse for only one correct prediction. Andrew leads, but shouldn’t be, with 68 and 36, Greg is closing in with 67 and 37, and Genesis is 65 and 39.

Sunday, Jan. 24th 3:00 PM:

New York Jets AT Indianapolis Colts – It is often said that Offenses bring in money and Defenses win championships. Well, this game will be a great litmus test for that theory.  The Colts don’t have the best offense but have the league’s MVP at quarterback and won their first 14 games before pulling their starters and losing the remaining two games. The first of the two losses was against the New York Jets when Jim Cadwell pulled Peyton Manning and the rest of the starters with a 15-10 lead and 5:36 remaining in the third quarter. After that point, the Jets outscored the Colts 19-0. Even with Peyton Manning in, the Jets were able to hold the Colts to a season low 2 of 11 on third down conversions. Even though the Colts argued that it was more important to save their starters for more important games, the Colts allowed the Jets to begin their improbable run into and through the playoffs and now the Colts have to face the tough Jets defense once again.
