Um, let me just get this out of the way before I continue.
ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG *SQUEEL*
Alright, now that that’s done, straight from Yahoo! Movies, here is the first picture of Star Trek star, Chris Hemsworth as the Norse god of thunder, Thor.
I see they’ve gone with Thor’s modern look with this movie, which I’m very ok with. Also, with such an impressive cast, including Stellan Skarsgård, Natalie Portman, and Anthony Hopkins, this movie can’t go wrong, right?
I loved Chiddy Bang‘s mixtape. Almost every track was great – now their first single samples MGMT. The album should come out in August – until then, things are looking up for the young Philly duo. The video is also hilarious. [Buy Here]
Eminem is back on the map people. He has been releasing a few freestyles and featured on some songs, and now has released his first single off his new album Recovery. Check it out. [Buy Here]
I have always been a huge fan of Crystal Castles, so when their new songs starting to come out, I was pumped. Then I listened to some and was a bit disappointed. But “Baptism” has grown on me so much – I love it. [Buy Here]

Infinity Ward is falling apart. More staffers have left! And rumor is they will start charging on downloads? If you haven’t already, make the switch to Battlefield 2.
Exit Through the Gift Shop is a documentary film that starts as one movie and ends as another. It tells the story of how an eccentric French shop keeper (Thierry Guetta), who literally films everything, from the bathroom to driving, is thrust into becoming an amateur film maker. Guetta discovers a family relative is the famous street artist Space Invader – which leads him on a journey into the world few have seen. We see and meet other street artists like Neckface, Swoon, Cheez, Coma, and, perhaps the best known, Shepard Fairey (who went on to design the Obama “Hope” image). It leads Guetta to get close enough to not only meet Banksy (the most famous street artist in the world), but befriend him. After filming him for some time, Thierry finds that the camera is turned on him, directed by Banksy – producing amazing results, and a spectacular film.
We’ve had the privilege of getting three pairs of tickets for a FREE screening of Michael Bay’s version of Nightmare on Elm Street. For those that don’t know what that movie is about, this is a re-imagining of the same classic horror film with from 1984. If that’s not enough for you, here’s the official synopsis:
A group of suburban teenagers share one common bond; they are all being stalked by Freddy Krueger, a horribly disfigured killer who hunts them in their dreams. As long as they stay awake, they can protect one another… but when they sleep, there is no escape.
I’ve listened to this song a lot today, and everytime I listen to it, I like it more and more. And then this epic new music video comes out and my day was complete. Check out MIA’s video for Born Free. The 9-minute video is extremely NSFW (so save it til you’re home), and very well made. M.I.A. has also announced her self-titled new album will be released on June 29.
Stephen Hawking says aliens are out there, but contact with them is “too risky.” I need to get into the alien business, say whatever you want – no one can challenge you!
When I saw this I thought it was going to be moronic – well actually it still is, but it’s pretty cute. Gummi Bear Surgery!

This artist has worked with the likes of Kid Cudi, Wale, and3OH!3, just to name a few. Mike Posner is known for his high-energy live shows and the major buzz he got about his mixtape “One Foot Out the Door.” So when I first heard the song “Cooler Than Me,” I wasn’t surprised that it had an awesome beat and was ridiculously catchy. I knew I had to share this song and artist. Check it out and see if you like it. [iTunes]
I think we have a good round up here for you today on Earth day. But not only is it Earth day, I’d like to give a special shout out to a special someone – Happy birthday Becky! With that being said – NETS TIME!
