The Super Bowl is here folks. Get your beers, chips, dips, wings, etc ready. HARBOWL TIME! HAHAH!!

Sunday, February 3rd AT 6:30 PM

Baltimore Ravens vs San Francisco 49ers

Andrew – Baltimore. I’m not too proud of this pick… I actually DO NOT  want the Ravens to win, and I DO want the 49ers to win. My personal opinion of these two teams, and some of the individual players, aside – I do feel that the Ravens a) had a much harder path to the Superbowl (especially considering there really aren’t that many elite teams in the AFC, they had to go up against two of the best/most experienced) and b) they seem to be playing out of their minds right now. There are a lot of “what ifs” that worked in the Ravens favor that landed them here, starting with the incredible 29- yard Ray Rice run that kept their playoff hopes alive (they would have lost 5 of their last 6 games had he not converted), continuing through to the horrible defensive play of the Broncos’ secondary, and ending with one of the most complete games against the New England Patriots.  Even though the Ravens will have their hands full with the dynamic 49ers offense, led by Colin Kaepernick, who seems to make being awesome look easy (maybe a little too easy), and he has had some monster games against some solid teams, I still have a bad feeling about this being his first year going up against this inspired defense.

Greg – San Francisco. Ok I have completely recovered from two weeks ago. The Patriots played probably one of the worst games I have ever see them play in recent history. That being said, the Ravens played well — a lot better than I expected they would. Because of their resurgence on offense in the playoffs, I think this game will be close. However, the most stable factor with the Ravens for the past decade has been their defense, and it will be their defense that lets them down this Super Bowl. The Ravens have been middle of the road defense all year, and yeah Ray Lewis is back and all emotional, but they haven’t faced an offense like this yet. Colin Kaepernick has (as Andrew put it perfectly) — made this look easy. The 49ers rushing attack is 4th in the league (and keep in mind Kaepernick didn’t come in til halfway through the season). These guys know how to run the ball, but recently, we’ve seen Kaepernick be able to throw the ball. I think that will be the key this game — lots of quick hits with him gunning the ball in there. I see this game being close for a while with the 49ers settling in a bit and then pulling away in the 4th for the victory. Should be lots of big hits with lots of helmet to helmets (hooray right?!). Overall, I think the 49ers are the better team going into this game — they’ll force at least one turnover, and we’ll all remember when Alex Smith was their quarterback.

San Francisco 49ers AT Atlanta Falcons – 3:00 PM

Andrew – San Francisco. Aaaahh yeah, I know, tough call with them on the road, also… I’m going by how Atlanta crumbled against the Seahawks in the second half, if the 49ers start faster than the general snail pace of the Seahawks, they have a chance to keep the Falcons off balance with their dynamic offense.

Greg – Atlanta. I am not confident with this pick at all, but something in my GUT tells me the Falcons are going to win this game. I have spent all week thinking about who will win this game. The 49ers dominated Green Bay’s defense, who primarily played man ALL GAME LONG for some reason. The Falcons are built to contain Kaepernick’s running ability in their zone schemes. I think the Falcons will be able to cause at least 2 turnovers by Kaepernick — this kid is still a first year starter folks! That being said, this game is still a toss up, and it all depends on which Matt Ryan comes out to play. I’m banking on the one who has played strong late in the season, and most importantly, not turning the ball over.

Baltimore Ravens AT New England Patriots – 6:30 PM

Andrew – New England. Ravens are coming off a long and emotional game on the road… to continue on the road is going to be extremely tough. Yes, some of Raven’s defensive inspirational stars are finally healthy, and they’ve been known to injure a Patriot or two… but like always, the success of the Ravens hinges entirely on how well Joe Flacco plays. Hard to say someone got lucky when they play in the divisional round of the playoffs… but that game tying touchdown pass…. was preeetttyy lucky….  I don’t see New England completely crapping out on defense, despite their history of bend but don’t break strategy.

Greg – New England. Not too happy about this matchup, the Ravens are not afraid of the Patriots (and actually might be boasting about that a bit too much this week). This will be a super close game — I expect the Patriots to come out with some different formations to confuse the Ravens early. Will be very interesting to watch Flacco’s play in the first half to see how he responds to being this close to the Super Bowl again.

January 12th

Baltimore Ravens vs Denver Broncos 4:30 PM

Andrew – Denver. I was impressed with Baltimore’s performance over the Colts, but I should have known better than to pick against them at home, against an untested Indianapolis team (aka, one that hasn’t been to the playoffs before with Andrew Luck). I’m not going to make the same mistake twice, hostile environment, against an all time elite QB, does not bode well for the on again, off again, Ravens team.

Greg – Denver. I am not comfortable with this pick. I think Denver is highly overrated. Yes they have been manhandling teams for the past 10 weeks, but they have also been playing pretty awful teams. I think Baltimore is riding an emotional streak right now into Denver. However, due to Baltimore’s inconsistency (especially on the road), I cannot pick them to win this. Denver wins by 10 here.

Green Bay Packers vs San Francisco 49ers 8:00 PM

Andrew – San Francisco. Tough game to pick…. I am not very high on San Francisco… but I probably should be so I’m going to give it to them. They’re at home, they have a great defense, they should be rested, Green Bay has been banged up all year (statistically the team with the most injured started – side note, Redskins were second most), and Colin Kaepernick can cause some serious issues for opposing defenses. Plus, last week the Packers pretty much got a freebie with Joe Webb playing for the Vikings and they still struggled…ok, no really but you would have thought they would have really been able to put away that game.

Greg – San Francisco. I heard one of the dumb Mikes from ESPN say that Aaron Rodgers was the BEST quarterback left in the playoffs. What? MVP years from Peyton and Brady don’t cut it I guess guys! Anyways, this should be a pretty fun game. I am semi-confident that with 2 weeks, Harbaugh was able to gameplan something to utilize Kaepernick in fun new ways. Look for some trickery like we saw last year with Alex Smith (maybe some fake punts too?). But I think too much is on Aaron Rodgers to win this game, if he has 1 mistake, it could cost them the game.

January 13th

Seattle Seahawks vs Atlanta Falcons 1:00 PM

Andrew – Atlanta. BURN IN HELL SEAHAWKS!!!! More importantly though, the first two Redskins drives resulted in back to back touchdowns and 14 unanswered points. They easily moved the ball on an otherwise stout defense. It was obvious after by the end of the first quarter RGIII was operating barely above a walk (as Greg called last week) and the Seahawks proceeded to capitalize on the Redskins squandered opportunities. I don’t think they’ll get the same chances this week against a rested Falcons team. Normally, I call one and done on the Falcons, but I think if they’re able to establish the run a bit, they shouldn’t have any trouble with the Seahawks.

Greg – Seattle. Going out on a limb here, I think this might just be Seattle’s year. They just do not care who they play. Last week they went down 14-0 early on the road, and then ended up winning the game with 24 unanswered. Not many teams can do that (helps when you play a 1 legged qb though too). I just feel like the Seahawks are making the right plays at the right time. I don’t like them at all, hate Pete Carroll (I do like Russell Wilson though). Anyways though — this should be an interesting first half to watch, I expect the Seahawks to come out guns blazing early to try and counteract any chance of being flat like last week in DC.

Houston Texans vs New England Patriots 4:30 PM

Andrew – New England. Despite the national media’s best attempts to provide endless bulletin board material for the Texans, I don’t see this one falling their way. First off, the Patriots spanked the Texans earlier this season. I mean absolutely effortlessly spanked them. Great you held Wes Welker to a season low three catches, that probably only helped the Patriots offense as he wasn’t dropping all those passes. New England should have no problem handling their business at home throughout this game.

Greg – New England. Agree with Andrew here — the media is giving Houston all the ammo it wants. Also, I hate him for linking to that video, DO NOT CLICK IT!!!!  I predicted at the beginning of the season that one of these two teams was going to represent the AFC in the SuperBowl..that’s all, just humblebragging they’ve made it this far. I think this game will be a lot closer than everyone seems to expect, that being said, there is a x factor playing this week that did not the first time they met — the Gronk.

Wild Card Playoff Weekend Picks!

SATURDAY, January 5th

Cincinnati Bengals at Houston Texans 4:30 p.m

Andrew – Houston. I haven’t been that impressed with Houston as of late, but I do think they’ll step up at home for this game. I feel like Cincinnati can drop the ball at times, and I’m anticipating them coming out a little flat against Houston.

Greg – Houston. The Texans have stumbled their way into the playoffs, losing 3 of their last 4. That being said, the Texans are still a good team, I wouldn’t classify them in the GREAT category, but they are certainly a better team than the Bengals. I expect the Texans to come out a bit slow at home, but to turn it on midway through the 2nd and not look back. Texans win by 2 scores.

Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers 8 p.m

Andrew – Green Bay. Not an easy pick, the Vikings reemergence has to be a bit unnerving for Green Bay. The only thing I can think of is that, last week the Vikings had to give Green Bay their best shot, whereas Green Bay really only had to show up a bit. Green Bay knows how they’re going to scheme (for the most part) and they should have an answer for it this time.

Greg – Minnesota. Ugh, so I had Green Bay written out and I expect the Pack to win — but I have been on the Viking bandwagon all year, why stop now?! This is going to be a very interesting first quarter to watch. If the Vikings can withstand the early onslaught the Packers have in store, then they have a chance. If the Vikings get down early though, there goes their only weapon in AP. Ponder will need to do SOMETHING for the Vikings to win this game.

SUNDAY, January 6th
Indianapolis Colts at Baltimore Ravens 1 p.m.

Andrew – Indianapolis. I originally put Baltimore, but then wrote about how Baltimore has fallen backwards into the playoffs, that usually means they’ll find a convenient way to exit quickly. I’m not that impressed with Andrew Luck, despite his successful season, and I’m a bit bitter that he may win this game against a crumbling dinosaur of a team.

Greg – Indianapolis. Will have to agree with Andrew here, the Ravens are just kind of …there, late in the season. As my friend Aaron said, the Ravens usually never show up offensively (8 out of 10), but for those 2 times they do show up, they will light you up. I don’t see that happening here, I see a low scoring close game that the Colts pull out — Viniatieri to the rescue?

Seattle Seahawks at Washington Redskins 4:30 p.m.

Andrew – Washington. I realize that the Redskins are 3 point underdogs AT HOME… but I think people forget how relatively easy the Seahawks schedule was, and going this far cross country is not going to be easy. Sure, RG3 isn’t looking as fresh as he did earlier this year, and the Seahawks defense isn’t something to trifle with, but I believe this is the year that the Redskins shed the playoff curse of the Seahawks.

Greg – Seattle. I wanted to pick the Skins here, but after watching last weeks game and seeing just how unhealthy RG3 is, I can’t. He was basically walking. Tom Brady running. They also won’t be playing the Cowboys this week. Coming into FedEx is a team that is complete. Much more complete than the Redskins are right now. As much as I hate Pete Carroll and want him to lose, I don’t think they will. I expect a lot of pressure on RG3 from blitzes early to see just how healthy those legs are.

Week 17 NFL Predictions!

30 Dec

Sorry late, final week!!!

Sunday, December 30th
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons 1:00 PM
Andrew – Tampa Bay. This is a weird pick…. Based on *JOSH FREEMAN’S EIGHT INTERCEPTIONS IN THE LAST TWO GAMES* (loud enough for him to hear),  I would never pick the Buccaneers at Atlanta… however, rumor has it Atlanta will be resting some key players as they head into the playoffs. Can’t blame them, but it makes this a super tough game to pick.
Greg – Atlanta

New York Jets at Buffalo Bills 1:00 PM
Andrew – Buffalo. I have to go with the team at home, regardless of how poor they might play. The only consolation is that the Jets quarterback situation is a bigger joke than John Beck was last year for the Redskins.
Greg – New York jets

Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals 1:00 PM
Andrew – Baltimore. Tough call for me, but I do think Baltimore is the more complete team when healthy… and they are just now getting healthy on defense… could be dangerous for the playoffs.
Greg – Cincinnati

Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions 1:00 PM
Andrew – Chicago. Another tough call for me… the Bears offensive line will get torn up by the Lion’s dline/linebackers, however, I do think the Lions secondary will struggle to cover number 1 receiver Brandon Marshall, and if he gets enough room to play, it could be all over for the Lions. Also, if the Bears defense plays like they did last week, it should be a low scoring affair as well.
Greg – Chicago

Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans 1:00 PM
Andrew – Jacksonville. I don’t particularly care for either of these teams, however, I do think the Jaguars defense will keep them in this. If either team can put up more than 14, they’ll surely win.
Greg – Tennessee

Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts 1:00 PM
Andrew – Houston. It seemed like Houston didn’t have much to play for last game, but if they drop this one they’ll miss out out on home field advantage throughout the playoffs (assuming Broncos win), so gotta go with the team that has more to play for here.
Greg – Indianapolis

Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints 1:00 PM
Andrew -  Carolina. Had the Panthers not lost to the Chiefs they would be on a 5 game win streak right now… crazy to think about when they were 2-7. Either way, they’re playing pretty well right now, and I think they’ll end the season strong, only to start over again next year. Must be fun to be a Panthers fan!
Greg – Carolina

Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants 1:00 PM
Andrew – New York Giants. Oh how the mighty have fallen…. I’d hate to be Tom Coughlin if they drop this game. I don’t think he’ll lose his job like so many fans will wish, but they will be some pretty creative death threats. Both teams are banged up, but I’d be shocked if the Giants lose this game at home.
Greg – New York Giants

Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers 1:00 PM
Andrew – Pittsburgh. Kind of hard to pick the Steelers in this one, given they’ve dropped their last three, and 5 of the last six, including one to the Browns already. I am however, not entirely sure what is happening for the Browns at QB, and with that confusion, am leaning on the veteran team to end their season with a win (although, could this be the end of the dominate Steelers as we know it?).
Greg – Pittsburgh

Oakland Raiders at San Diego Chargers 4:25 PM
Andrew – San Diego. With Carson Palmer out, Oakland is left to Matt Leinart and/or Terrelle Pryor. Now, me personally, I’d go with Terrelle Pryor… because everyone already knows what Leinart can and cannot do. I’d like to see Pryor get his chance for once. Either way, Oakland has way too many problems than just at quarterback, and I feel like San Diego will take advantage of their weak defense.
Greg – San Diego

Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers 4:25 PM
Andrew – San Francisco. Crazy to think that the NFC West is still up for grabs. The 49ers are lucky to end it with the Cardinals here.
Greg – San Francisco

St. Louis Rams at Seattle Seahawks 4:25 PM
Andrew – Seattle. I should have never bet against the Seahawks at home. I did and paid the price for it. I am sorry oh great wise Pete Carroll.
Greg – Seattle

Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings 4:25 PM
Andrew – Minnesota. The Vikings are fighting for their playoff lives, but I can only hope that Green Bay beats them, however that won’t be easy in Minnesota. I’m thinking a close game, but if Adrian Peterson continues having the success he has had in recent games, then they can keep the ball out of Aaron Rodger’s hands and thus the points off the board for Green Bay.
Greg – Minnesota

Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots 4:25 PM
Andrew – New England. Tough game for the Dolphins up in New England, oh sure the Dolphins always play them “tough” but *dismissive hand motion.*
Greg – New England

Kansas City at Denver Broncos 4:25 PM
Andrew – Denver. I imagine that even if Denver doesn’t come out of the locker room following the half, they’ll still win this game. Sorry Kansas… that’s what you are.
Greg – Denver

Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins 8:20 PM
Andrew – Washington. It all comes down to this. I’m hoping that the Bears and Vikings both lose, so this game will be a lot less stressful for me, but that doesn’t change the fact that I still think the Redskins can control this game at home.
Greg – Washington

Week 16 NFL Picks!

20 Dec

Down to the wire here.

a-nfl-christmas-cheerleaders

Saturday, December 22nd

Atlanta Falcons at Detroit Lions 8:30 PM

Andrew – Atlanta. *starts slow clap* Ladies and gentlemen, the various ways the Lions have found to lose games is down right impressive, let’s all give them the round of applause not that they deserve, but the one that they need. But seriously, the Lions just can’t seem to get anything right this year and heads will roll because of it. Atlanta on the other hand sent a message to the rest of the league with their stomping of the Giants… would love to see them string together back to back games of that caliber to give some hope to their playoff chances.

Greg – Atlanta. Well done Falcons, you shut me up! It seems they are on their way to a playoff push — one that should be difficult, but nonetheless, when the Falcons are clicking on offense, they are nearly impossible to stop. This one could be a shootout — which could be fun for all of us!

Sunday, December 23rd

New Orleans Saints at Dallas Cowboys 1:00 PM

Andrew – Dallas Cowboys. Hate to admit it, but the Cowboys have proved they are extremely resilient this year, impressively so. I imagine this will be a crazy game with lots of lead changes and some impressive last minute heroics by Tony Romo to save the day…. but the fanboy in me hopes more than anything that the Cowboys show up flat and the Saints trounce them.

Greg – Dallas. This is a tough game. The Cowboys are very good in December and are fighting for a playoff spot. The Saints are coming off a huge destruction of the Bucs — but for some reason I can’t pick them. Maybe it’s just because they are irrelevant for the first time in a while? I don’t know, but I still think the Cowboys pull this one out with the help of their secondary.

Tennessee Titans at Green Bay Packers 1:00 PM

Andrew – Green Bay. Not much to say here, tough road game for the Titans and I imagine that the Packers will do everything they can to steal the first round bye from San Fran (they probably won’t catch up to Atlanta).

Greg – Green Bay. The Titans struggled last week offensively against the Jets — if they struggle AT ALL against the Packers, it’s a blow out.

Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs 1:00 PM

Andrew – Indianapolis. Not much to say on this one either. Even if Luck throws a couple more interceptions, I still don’t see the Chiefs putting up enough points to win it.

Greg – Indianapolis. Yeah I don’t see the Chiefs being able to muster much here. They were shut out against the Raiders last week, maybe Luck can actually show up for the first half this time?

Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins 1:00 PM

Andrew – Buffalo. Torn a bit on this game. Both teams are less than impressive, but I have more faith in the Buffalo offense than I do the Dolphins so… there’s that.

Greg – Miami. Buffalo never fares too well traveling down to Miami in the heat. So I’m just going with that. Did you know these two teams are still in the playoff hunt? And if Miami wins this week and beats the Patriots next week, (with some help), they could be in the AFC playoffs. Wow. Awful.

Week 15 NFL Predictions!

13 Dec

htcxmas

Thursday, December 13th
Cincinnati Bengals at Philadelphia Eagles 8:20 PM

Andrew – Cincinnati. Philadelphia did really well to win their game last week, and the Bengals didn’t do enough to win theirs… both of these can be great so in a way this game is a toss up. The only thing I can go on is that Philly is prone to giving up big plays on defense, and the Bengals should be able to capitalize on them.

Greg – Cincinnati. I think this game will either be really close or a complete blowout in the Bengals favor. The Eagles are limping their way to the end of the season, and while they are coming off a big win, I still think the Bengals will win here. A must win playoff push fueling the Bengals gives them the drive in the 2nd half to power through and win.

Sunday, December 16th
New York Giants at Atlanta Falcons 1:00 PM

Andrew – New York. I don’t know what is going on with the Falcons but I have not been impressed recently.  Their last couple wins have been sloppy as best, and their losses seemed to really expose their weaknesses. I don’t like picking the Giants, but this is usually when they pull themselves together.

Greg – New York Football Giants. Once again, here come the Giants, and there go the Falcons. The Giants are now fighting for their division (and a playoff spot!). I think they will get both, and a win here would certainly help.

Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears 1:00 PM

Andrew – Green Bay. Last time Green Bay played the Bears, they absolutely manhandled them, not to mention that Chicago can’t seem to protect their QB to save their lives. The Packers are getting a couple of their injured players back on defense which should only secure their rise to the top of the NFC North.

Greg – Green Bay. It’s a battle of who has the worse offensive line! I don’t see the Bears defense being able to slow down the Aaron Rodgers show. The Packers playoff train is starting to get going, and while I don’t think they are a complete team for a Super Bowl run, I do believe they are the better team today.

Washington Redskins at Cleveland Browns 1:00 PM

Andrew – Cleveland. A couple things… these are the games that the Redskins *always* lose, now… I know that RG3 has changed the football culture in DC and I think the Redskins will play inspired ball… but I’m also thinking that the coaches may take this time to rest RGIII and have him game plan for the Cowboys and Eagles. The Giants definitely have the harder schedule, and the Redskins can still be in the playoff hunt if they drop one game. I DON’T LIKE IT, it’s reminiscent of the Strasburg shut down controversy…. but I say keep him on the bench, drop this game, and look to beating Dallas and Eagles…. 9-7 can still win the division!

Greg – Cleveland. I want to pick the Redskins this week, but I just can’t. RG3 has done an amazing job this year in actually turning them into a winning/competitive team, but silently, the Browns have been playing tight games all year. Their defense has been playing outstanding, only giving up 20 points per game (9th in the league), but their offense scores only 19 (24th in the league). That being said, look for a low scoring ugly affair — especially if Cousins starts.

Minnesota Vikings at St. Louis Rams 1:00 PM

Andrew – Minnesota. Man, Adrian Peterson…. amazing. Whenever the Vikings lose, I hope AP just stares down Christian Ponder while making threatening gestures. St. Louis has a stout run defense, but I thought that of Chicago (308 total yards and 2 TD in two games), Green Bay (220 total yards, 1 TD),  and the Lions (176 total yards, 1 TD). The man is an animal, god forbid AP is stopped because if he is, Christian Ponder will not be able to dig them out of this game.

Greg – Minnesota. Just keep running with AP. Everyone knows they are handing the ball off to him, and he still gets 150+ yards. MVP?

Week 14 NFL Predictions!

6 Dec

week-13-cowboys-4_3_rx512_c680x510

Thursday, December 6th

Denver Broncos at Oakland Raiders 8:20 PM

Andrew – Denver. I wonder if the Raiders will rally and play inspired football for their head coach, whose father recently passed away. We saw the Chiefs do it, albeit after a much more traumatic incident. The other side to that coin is just a complete crumble (like Andy Reid with the Eagles). Man, this is a depressing start to this week’s post.

Greg – Denver. How long can these Thursday night games last? I don’t think the Raiders will be much of a challenge (maybe early, but that’s about it). The Broncos roll through Oakland.

Sunday, December 9th

St. Louis Rams at Buffalo Bills 1:00 PM

Andrew – Buffalo. Coin toss on this one. Both of these teams are too inconsistent for me to really have a feel for them. I’ll take the home team, but know this could go either way.

Greg – Buffalo. Yeah I’m taking the home team where a rain/snow mix will hit Buffalo this weekend. The dome team from St Louis should struggle through that and the Bills pull out a win.

Dallas Cowboys at Cincinnati Bengals 1:00 PM

Andrew – Cincinnati. I expect Dallas to play hard in the second half, I’m just hoping that the Bengals can put enough space between them in the first to seal the win.

Greg – Cincinnati. The Bengals have been playing really well the last few weeks — particularly their defense. This is another must win for both teams to stay in the playoff hunt, but I don’t see the Cowboys winning this game. I think it will be extremely close though, Romo will have to have his best game this season to win.

Kansas City Chiefs at Cleveland Browns 1:00 PM

Andrew – Cleveland. I don’t really expect the Chiefs to have the same kind of success that they had last week on the road, against a generally stout Browns defense. The being said, I don’t know what success I really expect the Browns to have either. Low scoring affair for everyone!

Greg – Cleveland. So the Chiefs have to go on the road and are still recovering from the horrible events from last week. While it will be good for them to get away for a bit, I don’t see them going in and winning against the Browns. As I’ve said in previous weeks, the Browns have been competitive in almost all their game this season. They get the win Sunday.

Week 13 NFL Predictions!

29 Nov

Thursday, November 29th
New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons 8:20 PM

Andrew – Atlanta. Bit of a toss up, New Orleans *really* needs this win to get back into the playoff picture, but I don’t know if they’ll be able to upset the Falcons in Atlanta. Should be a close and hopefully exciting game though.

Greg – Atlanta. I lost a bit of faith in the Saints last week, not being able to beat a rookie quarterback, and at home?! So I’m going with the Falcons to not only be able to match the Saints firepower, but slow down the Saints enough to pull away in the 2nd half.

Sunday, December 2nd
Jacksonville Jaguars at Buffalo Bills 1:00 PM

Andrew – Buffalo. I’m legit pretty torn on this game. I think the Jags defense can keep them in it, regardless of suspect quarterback play. Obviously, Chad Henne has ignited something in this offense, but I don’t know if it will be enough to win on the road in Buffalo.

Greg – Buffalo. The Jaguars will go up to cold Buffalo (where it’s forecasted in the high 40’s and rain, beautiful). I think the Bills will be able to win this one easily. I am predicting that the Jags play like the Jags and have 3+ turnovers.

Seattle Seahawks at Chicago Bears 1:00 PM

Andrew – Chicago. Assuming that the two starting corners for the Seahawks are still out, I’m leaning towards blow out.

Greg – Seattle. The  Bears offensive line might be as bad as any. They are awful. Jay is still coming back from his concussion and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a few wobbly passes into the Seahawks secondary. I think it will be a low scoring affair, with neither team  being able to get much of anything going.

Indianapolis Colts at Detroit Lions 1:00 PM

Andrew – Detroit. One thing I thought about this year was “thank god the Redskins don’t play the Lions this year,” mainly because of Detroit’s ability to tear through the opposing team’s offensive line and get after the quarterback. I think Luck will still do well enough in this game, but it might be a tough one for him physically.

Greg – Detroit. The Lions were SO close to ending the Thanksgiving streak last week. Now with extra time to rest and prepare for the Colts, I think they will win this one. The Colts are not too good away from home (5-1 home, 2-3 away). So I expect the Lions to be able to win this game fairly easily.

Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers 1:00 PM

Andrew – Green Bay. The Packers could hardly move against the Giants, but I’d be surprised if they had another outing like that against a NFC North rival. The rough thing for the Vikings is basically, if they get too far behind, they have to rely on Christian Ponder to lead them to victory and that is just not going to happen.

Greg – Minnesota.  I am really torn on this game. I really like the Vikings team, they played sloppy last week, dropping passes, turnovers, penalties. I don’t expect that to happen this week, should be a really close game. The Vikings schedule is brutal right now, so this is a must win for them. The Packers are coming off a beat down from the Giants, so I expect them to show up early, but I also expect the Vikings front line to be able to get to Rodgers. The Packers’ offensive line is pretty rough. The Packers rely on their QB more than any team in the NFL, if he struggles just a bit, the Vikings should be able to capitalize.

Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans 1:00 PM

Andrew – Houston. I’m not really sure what it is about the Titans that makes me nervous to pick them. They’ve done well enough in all phases offensively, and their defense isn’t that bad… but they just can’t seem to win consistently enough for me to feel good about them.  Texans on the other hand are about as well rounded a team as you get, on all sides of the ball, so I have to give them the upper hand here.

Greg – Houston. The Titans have been playing pretty well lately, but I just don’t see them winning this game…at all. The Texans are (IMHO) the best team in the league. Easy win here.
