EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Pitbullswitches it up here is back with another dance track. Here he talks about flying all around the world and spreading love and dance, much like a Latino Santa. Latino Santa is joined on the track by Chris Brown. Now, I appreciate that he’s trying to make a comeback. With Yeah x3 and being featured on other songs, he’s on his way to making that possible. But, will he ever be as big as he was before that fateful night? No – and I’m ok with that. So check out “International Love”:

I still dont’ know how to classify this band. Are they pop? Are they alternative? I just don’t know?! I mean, for example, take Clint Eastwood and compare it to, say, DARE - two. different. styles. But one thing’s for sure, Gorillaz have been making hits for a while and they still know how to make a good tune. Their new song “Doncamatic (All Played Out)” is no exception. It’s definitely pop sounding, especially with vocal help from Daley. Well technically, with Daley doing all of the singing, it’s pretty much his song. But it’s most certainly different than the pop music you hear here in the States. So we’ll see if this even makes it on the radio. Regardless, here is “Doncamatic (All Played Out)”:

When I found this song, it inspired me to make another mixtape, so everyone thank Lykke Li. In what seems like an eternity, she finally has some new music and “Get Some” is upbeat and catchy. Enjoy! Two new tracks can be downloaded for free from her site here.
Deerhunter is on tour with Spoon right now, and after hearing their new single, it’s easy to see why. They’ve gone through a lot of different band members and have changed their style since their formation in 2001, but this might be one of their best songs to date.
Lupe Fiasco is back on the music scene (doing his own thing) and his new track “The Shows Goes On” has made me rejoin the Lupe bandwagon. His new CD Lasers should be out next March. (Thanks for the tip Becky W.)
Matt Costa is starting to make some noise in the music world. From having a song in “I Love You Man” to getting noticed on tours with bigger groups like Modest Mouse. The song has an upbeat feel to it, but the lyrics are a bit depressing. However this song could easily make it’s way into another movie.
Man I feel like I haven’t done anything on this thing for a while (Whispers: because I haven’t shhh). Anyway, I’m back and let’s check out this week’s first artist. The only reason why I’m featuring Taylor Swift in this week’s Music Monday, is because I had a dream with her in it. No, I wasn’t listening to her before I went to bed nor was I even thinking of her. But, somehow, she incepted herself into my mind brain. Here’s the dream, I was outside of a huge old-looking house that reminded me of something from New Orleans. And there was Taylor up on the second floor on the porch, most likely of her daddy’s house. I was there, on the lawn, a guitar in hand. I was singing something to her and she was loving it. She was dressed in white like an angel. For a moment, she was my angel….MY….ANGEL!!! *Ahem*…Then I woke up and Googled her and found out that she has a new song out that talks about her ruining a wedding in a cute way. Enjoy!:
Like that song? Be sure to check out her new album, Speak Now, dropping October 25th.
The duo who brought us “Successful” are back – bringing us yet another hit that is sure to dominate the radio waves. You’ll be singing this chorus for a while, and although the beat is pretty simple – it also is exciting and different at the same time. And to be honest, I will not go out of my way to listen to Trey Songz unless Drake is in it.
When Kanye West drops a new track, the entire internet freaks out about it – and it’s definitely justified. Everyone has their own opinion regarding Kanye’s attitude, but one thing is clear – the dude can make hits, and this song is no exception. For a while, the internet was a buzz about Drake, but now that that’s over, it’s Mr. Yeezy’s turn. Kanye’s comeback is in full effect. Whether it’s his current hit, Power, or the short but amazing music video for the song, or even his glorious Twitter account, one thing is clear – there’s no stopping this guy. This song utilizes the powerful voice of Beyoncé and the smooth sounds of Charlie Wilson. But here’s the kicker, this song didn’t make it onto his much anticipated upcoming album. So this begs the question, “If this song that didn’t make it is awesome, what will the songs that actually made it sound like?” Check out “See Me Now” and discuss amongst yourselves.:
Like this song? Be sure to check out Kanye’s upcoming album, Dark Twisted Fantasy, dropping sometime this year. (I think in September.)
So does Flo Rida have some contract with the creators of Step Up to provide at least one catchy song for their movies? I mean, there was ‘Low‘ and now there’s this. I haven’t seen the first movie (nor do I even want to), but the soundtrack isn’t that horrendous. Flo Rida has teamed up with David Guetta to create a dance-hop song that will more than likely be used for some dance montage or battle. So have your own dance off in front of your mirror and check out “Club Can’t Handle Me”. In other news, why is this a 3D movie?:

Guess who’s back to rapping? And may I just say – Thank God. I was getting so tired of his “artistic” phase. Kanye West is, in my opinion, much more entertaining/enjoyable when he spits instead of “sings.” He released his new single, “Power” on May 31st and I’m sure it’ll be blowing up the charts soon enough. You know how the Louis Vuitton Don‘s influence on the Billboard Charts is. Although his last single, “Coldest Winter” didn’t make a dent on the music charts or in people’s minds, I’m sure this song will. Mr. West is back in the building:
Like this song? Make sure to keep an eye out on his new album, Good Ass Job, which might be dropping this June.
After flying under the radar after Swift-gate, Kanye West has come out with a new song and video. But don’t get too excited about it. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s not that bad – but I guess he’s still in his “artsy (fartsy)” experimental stage. I sure do miss the old Kanye, though. But check out the video to “Coldest Winter” below:
