New JJ Abrams Show ‘Alcatraz’ Has a Trailer

The new trailer for the JJ Abrams produced show ‘Alcatraz’ now has a trailer for us all to check out. The show tells the story of the infamous prison Alcatraz and the shut down in 1963 — but in the Abrams version, it was only shut down because all the inmates vanished (Gasp)!! Cut to present day and the seemingly vanished/dead inmates are coming back and it’s up to a detective to piece this all together. So as you can see, it’s totally different than LOST, this takes place on an ..island…with people (Hugo)…and mysterious pasts…hmm. Let me know what you think, you’ll have time to think, because this doesn’t premiere til summer 2012 on FOX.

We featured this song a while back on one of our Thursday Mixtapes, but the official music video just recently premiered, and holy crap it’s kinda intense. We don’t usually feature music videos, but this one was just so raw and star studded, Megan Fox and Dominic Monaghan, that we had to share it. So check out the angry sex, violent filled, human torch looking music video of Eminem and Rihanna‘s “Love the Way You Lie”:

Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone! Have you noticed how it has become a part of American society more and more each year? INVASION!!

Stephen Hawking has a new documentary on Discovery soon (May 30) – where he says time travel is possible, but only forward. You know, I’m getting tired of him just talking, how about we prove some of these? [Thanks Ian D.]
A special Cinco de Mayo trailer for “Machete” is out – and is it just me or does all of this look like a fake movie?

It’s the Internets! (04/08/2010)

Well we’re back here. Hope everyone is having a great week – let’s get into it right away today:

Remember how bad the newer Star Wars were? Well this guy is here to remind you.
Asian people do a lot of weird things, but I know I would eat this – PANDA BREAD! (Thanks Katie H. for the tip)
I usually hate a capella groups – but these guys from the University of Oregon rick roll’d a NYC subway pretty good. (Thanks to Daniel for the tip)
Tuesday’s LOST was the best episode of the season by far. And Instant Dharma tries to break it down (spoilers)
We like Modern Warfare here – well someone likes it a lot more – a Modern Warfare tribute short film.
Keep going to school kids – it will pay off in the long run!
There really isn’t any comedy in this funny or die clip, but it has Megan Fox.
Anyone else feel a bit awkward/uncomfortable watching Tiger in the new Nike ad?
Potato Chips are the most dangerous food to eat while driving. Ever try eating a chili dog while driving?

It’s the Internets! (03/31/10)

Can you believe we’re already at the end of March and I still don’t have a job? Crazy I know. Going to give a special shout out to our reader Becky – she got into grad school today – Go Gophers! With that being said – let’s give you the rundown on what is going on in the world of the internet today!

The Creepiest Children Books Ever. I like “The Long Journey of Mr. Poop” the best.
The 10 most memorable scenes starring the incredible Christopher Walken!
They successfully collided atoms! Now let’s see if we can discover the big bang/universe/end of the world.
Throw in a tiger cub, and this would be my happy place. Let me spell it out for you – BEAR CUB SCARED BY LION CUB = AMAZING
It’s always hilarious when people dress up as superheroes – but what if they were extremely overweight?! Genius.
I love LOST, but Sawyer sure does say “son of a bi***” a lot. So here it is. Six Seasons of it. (Thanks to Ian D.)

LOST Premieres Tomorrow!

A new season 6 trailer has been released. Everything just looks so epic. I’ll be sure to post my thoughts/review of the first episode, which premieres tomorrow night on ABC at 8pm. If you cannot wait that long, then head over to ABC’s site and you can watch the first four minutes of tomorrow’s episode. I didn’t want to spoil anything so I couldn’t watch. Here’s the teaser:

New Lost Promos!

If you’re anything like me, you are extremely pumped for the new season of Lost! Which premieres on ABC on February 2. Hopefully all of our questions will be answered. But if you are one of the people who have not watched Lost, here is a video you should check out. It will explain everything you need to know in 8 minutes and 15 seconds. They’ve also released the image you see above, Lost as the “Last Supper” – so many questions from this picture (looks like Claire is a main character again).
